Summary

  • Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician for our Adrian, Michigan location will help maintain the interior and exterior of the facility and all equipment required for production. This will be achieved through ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.

Salary

$14.00 - $18.00 / hour

Role Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Survey the building and equipment daily to ensure efficiency and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct basic maintenance of interior and exterior of the facility, including electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
  • Conduct basic maintenance of specialized equipment including cultivation equipment, trimming and cannabis production equipment, wastewater treatment systems
  • Respond quickly to all maintenance requests.
  • Support the installation and setup of appliances and other equipment.
  • Assist with maintenance of facility grounds.
  • Operate forklift and assist with shipping/receiving
  • Collaborate with facilities staff for routine cleanings
  • Execute all other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to comfortably squat, reach, twist, bend over the course of tasks and workday
  • Carrying up to 50 pounds
  • Working on wet and/or slippery surfaces

Experience

  • High school diploma required
  • 1-3 years of experience as a maintenance technician preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and other mechanical systems.
  • Working knowledge of small hand tools, common appliances, and devices.
  • Experience operating a variety of grounds equipment, including snow blowers, and lawn mowers.
  • Working knowledge of fabrication and production machines
  • Understanding of general maintenance methods and processes.
  • Strong ability to organize and maintain a clean workplace
  • Flexibility, with a strong work ethic in order to meet challenging demands.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Education

  • Highschool Diploma or GED.
