CORE JOB DUTIES

  • Thoughtfully engineer and execute complex process and product development experimental designs from inception to assessment to advance production throughputs.
  • Create experimental designs to develop and assess new products through product design execution, new documentation and quality standards invention, and site training.
  • Be proficient at inter-department communication to align expectations of new product or process implementation requirements.
  • Direct facilities to best production practices based with advanced equipment control knowledge to keep production and quality optimal at all production facilities.
  • Assess equipment, ingredient, and labor values to determine the product and process return of investment metrics and revenue margins.
  • Minimize equipment errors and correct equipment downtime by implementing manufacture recommended resolutions, creating new maintenance or replacement procedures, and expertly directing local resources how to troubleshoot and resolve.
  • Monitor and take action to improve manufacturing yields and product scrap reduction.
  • Create and monitor KPI tracking systems related to production metrics.
  • Direct site resources or develop creative solutions to correcting and improving KPI.
  • Work with process engineers to scale-up existing processes to meet increased demand and improved efficiency.
  • Routinely become proficient at new process and machine procedures for implementation and troubleshooting to give expert advice to site resources.
  • Direct cross functional teams to assist with technical analysis and product transfers between sites related to new infused products, processes, and equipment.
  • Maintain subject matter expertise of equipment functions, operations and troubleshooting processes used in the Cresco network
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and new technologies related to cannabis manufacturing and make recommendations to leadership.
  • Travel up to 75% of work hours.
  • Provide subject matter expertise, training, and ongoing support to members of the manufacturing teams.
  • Follow all required Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP's) when traveling to manufacturing sites.
  • Comply with all safety standards when training and scaling manufacturing processes.
  • Record and maintain all manufacturing data recording for KPI analysis.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS

  • 2+ years of experience in Cannabis, Food or Pharmaceutical manufacturing
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office with an emphasis in Microsoft Excel
  • Comfortable working directly with site-based resources to resolve issues and make recommendations to senior leadership
  • Ability to work cross functionally with outside vendors and manufacturers to resolve and troubleshoot issues
