Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive wholesale sales strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets
  • Identify new business opportunities and market trends to stay ahead of the competition
  • Create and manage annual sales budgets and forecasts
  • Lead the selection and implementation of a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
  • Identify and secure new wholesale accounts, distributors, and retailers
  • Ensure excellent customer service and support for wholesale clients
  • Compile and present monthly/quarterly reports on sales and initiatives to senior leadership
  • Forecast and track key account metrics using a CRM system
  • Utilize data to make informed decisions and adjustments to sales strategies
  • Be prepared to travel to meet with customers, suppliers, and partners as necessary, both regionally and nationally. Travel may include attending industry events, trade shows, and visiting key clients to foster relationships and grow our wholesale business.
  • Design and execute outreach initiatives
  • Responsible for onboarding and integrating new clients into sales funnels/CRM and developing existing client relationships
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience working with partners in the following areas: cannabis, beverages, health & wellness or convenience stores preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a results-driven environment
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time and project management skills. You're always looking to improve inefficient processes.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in wholesale sales or distribution within the cannabis, alcoholic beverages, pharmaceuticals, confections food, health and wellness, or related industries.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains supervisory and management staff in the department.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
