RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership
- Manage, create and publish original, high-quality content representing the brand; may include photography, written content and graphic design
- Collaborate with retail business partners to address promotional needs with content that is informative and appealing
- Monitor social media activity and user engagement, and suggest optimizations to strategy
- Communicate with industry professionals and outside contacts via social media to create a strong network
- Encourage participation and teamwork among employees for volunteer and charity events including developing internal newsletters and other communications
Quality & Financial
- Research new opportunities to bring our company & brands out into the community to educate others about our business
- Oversee brand voice to monitor and engage with the community including responding to customer's comments quickly and appropriately
- Design, draft, and distribute promotional materials in support of outreach efforts
- Monitor existing customers social media and notify business partners of applicable observations
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on KPIs and ROI
- Create persuasive writing for marketing campaigns and assets (copywriting)
People & Development
- Communicate internal strengths to promote our company to potential job candidates
- Educate customers, community leaders, and others about our value proposition
- Stay up to date with new digital technologies and social media best practices
- Train internal teams to integrate and maintain a cohesive social media strategy
Compliance
- Stay up to date with all local, state, and federal regulations to ensure policy, practice, and communication is consistent with any changes in laws or regulations
- Ensure messaging is compliant with all laws, regulations, policies, and practices nationwide
- Act as a subject matter expert as it relates to marketing regulations and adeptly leverage this expertise to actively communicate in an informative yet fully compliant manner
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Keen ability at copywriting
- Excellent team-building and leadership skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage time well
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to learn, understand and apply new platforms and technologies
- Adaptable to change and able to pivot easily
- Experience with integrating social media into outreach opportunities
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to accomplish projects independently
REQUIREMENTS
- HS Diploma/GED required
- 2+ years of social media management or related marketing experience required
- Bachelor's degree in the appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience in the cannabis industry preferred
- Thorough understanding of Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other social platforms
- Experience with integrating social media into outreach planning and execution
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Sprout Social, Canva, Photoshop and Google Analytics
