Description

Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate packaging materials and records of other inventory items. Monitor stock levels, conduct regular inventory counts, and implement replenishment strategies to prevent stockouts.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and streamline purchasing processes to enhance efficiency. Identify and implement best practices to improve inventory accuracy, reduce lead times, and minimize costs.
  • Receiving Coordination: Coordinate the receipt of deliveries, verify quantities and quality of received items, and input receiving information into inventory systems accurately and promptly.
  • Purchasing: Generate purchase orders based on inventory levels, consumption trends, and production schedules.
  • Shrinkage Identification: Investigate and report on inventory shrinkage or discrepancies. Implement measures to minimize shrinkage and improve inventory accuracy.
  • Damaged Deliveries: Communicate and document any damaged or defective deliveries to internal stakeholders. Coordinate returns and replacements as necessary.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize inventory management software and tools to analyze consumption patterns, forecast demand, and optimize inventory levels. Provide insights and recommendations for inventory improvements.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to inventory management and purchasing activities. Maintain accurate documentation and records.

Qualifications

  • Experience in purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain operations, preferably in the cannabis or agricultural industry.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older and authorized to work in the United States.
  • Able to successfully register as an agent in state's cannabis commission.
  • Must adhere to all laws, regulations, and policies associated with the industry.
