Description

Responsibilities

  • Analyze procurement data to identify trends, cost savings opportunities, and vendor performance.
  • Develop and maintain effective supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier performance.
  • Monitor and analyze production and sales data along with future projections to recommend appropriate order quantities.
  • Research and make recommendations on potential new vendors based on current business needs.
  • Provide support to buyers and purchasing units by preparing purchase orders and reviewing requisitions for goods and services.
  • Work closely with Accounts Payable to ensure that payments are made in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with third party partners to determine packaging needs based on projections.
  • Anticipate supply issues and find solutions before they become a problem.
  • Evaluate current financial models and develop new processes to create efficiencies within the procurement department.
  • Regularly review market sales data and present findings on industry trends and competitive analysis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Analytics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management.
  • Strong analytical skills, superb attention to detail and meticulous record keeping ability.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to different business needs on a daily basis in a rapidly evolving industry.
  • Cannabis industry and Biotrack experience a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain management and procurement processes.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop cost-saving strategies.
  • Capability to efficiently analyze data and provide insights for process improvement.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older and authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must adhere to all laws, regulations, and policies associated with the industry.
