How you'll make a difference

  • Provide excellent customer service to all patients and customers and communicate in a positive and friendly manner in person and over the phone
  • Assists with legally checking both adult-use consumers and medical patients according to the most recent standard operating procedures and Connecticut cannabis regulations
  • Accurately process all point-of-sale transactions and verify order accuracy with customers
  • Resolve inquiries with professionalism while diffusing stressful situations. Partner with a member of management for assistance as needed to ensure excellent customer service
  • Able to answer questions about Connecticut cannabis laws and the Company from members and others
  • Assists consumers in purchasing products on-site on the on-line website
  • Provide information regarding adult-use products, as well as accessories sold on site.
  • Assists the Assistant Dispensary Manager with cash management on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Perform end of day closing procedures in POS system & investigate any variances at end of shift. Report any variances to closing manager to ensure effective communication & resolution
  • Comply with standard operating procedures and State regulations as well as adhering to patient confidentiality (HIPPA) laws and Company policies and procedures
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and welcoming environment inside and outside the facility.
  • Other duties that may be assigned by either the Assistant Dispensary Manager or the Dispensary Manager according to the business needs.

Skills to be Successful

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years post-secondary education in a related field preferred
  • 2+ years' experience in a fast-paced client-service intensive industry - hospitality and retail background preferred
  • Familiarity with history and varieties of cannabis preferred, but not required.
  • Outstanding phone and in-person customer service skills
  • Demonstrates proactiveness, flexibility, adaptability, and multi-tasking
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical conduct
  • Skill in accurate cash management and inventory control
  • Strong written and oral interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively plan and prioritize
  • Possess attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Absolute reliability and honesty
  • Must have weekend and weeknight availability
