Supervisory and Sales Responsibilities

  • Inspires and motivates teams by leading by example, creating a positive atmosphere, encouraging a guest first philosophy, and promoting a global mindset to GO BEYOND delivering exceptional results.
  • Spends majority of time on the retail floor overseeing staff and ensuring exceptional guest experience
  • Supports training and development of team members and consistently coaches team members on service and product knowledge
  • Promotes selling and service skills to achieve sales goals and KPIs
  • Partners with the managers on goal setting and the establishment of daily/weekly/monthly performance objectives
  • Strategically plans daily agenda to ensure adequate staffing and continually monitors breaks and floor coverage
  • Assigns and oversees daily tasks to ensure the efficiency of sales, inventory, and security functions
  • Communicates daily specials, promotions, and operational updates to staff
  • Swiftly intervenes and de-escalates guest concerns and complaints
  • Holds staff accountable for handbook policies such as attendance, uniform, cash handling, and other standards
  • Ensures the store is maintained to high standards of aesthetics, merchandising, organization, and cleanliness
  • Upholds security and safety measures, and ensures compliance with all applicable regulations
  • Partners with Management on employee behavioral issues and development, may participate in delivering constructive feedback, disciplinary actions, and performance reviews
  • Identifies and communicates business opportunities pertaining to product assortment, operational processes, increasing sales, and team development, and participates in developing and executing action plans
  • Responsible for opening and closing the store as assigned
  • May assume specific areas of responsibility assigned and outlined by Management, such as but not limited to scheduling, time/attendance tracking, education, accounting, supply ordering, etc.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • Continuing education on using cannabis for appropriate various treatments and ongoing industry news; Assisting Dispensary Manager and Inventory Manager in inventory control and ensuring compliance; Performing all receiving, transferring, reporting, reconciling and inventory management functions within seed-to-sale software daily
  • Monitors dispensary for a variety of factors including but not limited to flow, staffing needs, quality of service, inventory changes, atmosphere, and security
  • Ensures all items are correctly priced in POS system and have accurate price tags displayed; oversight of loyalty programs, correct application of discounts in guests' transactions
  • Reviewing employee schedules and following all time keeping policies including scheduling breaks and lunches within company policy guidelines; enacting disciplinary actions when required
  • Responsible for actively listening, establishing rapport with staff and patients, resolving conflicts, and overall relationship building with staff, Management, and patients
  • Maintain a clean, safe, welcoming environment inside and outside the facility

Inventory Responsibilities

  • Picks and builds orders, and products for sales orders.
  • Supports with morning and evening inventory counts.
  • Assists in the receipt and in-processing of incoming product deliveries.
  • Supports in the physical recording of daily inventory.
  • Assists in inventory cycle counts.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Cash Handling Responsibilities

  • Follows dispensary cash handling policies for drops and deposits
  • Responsible for counting and closing daily tills and ensuring balanced counts.
  • Coordinates with Management to conduct cash counts.
  • Ensures cash is bundled for pickup in accordance with bank guidelines.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Education Requirements & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years post-secondary education in a related field preferred
  • 2+ years' experience in cannabis industry; additional experience in a supervisor or managerial role
  • Computer & equipment operations necessary for running an office/retail center (POS systems; Word; Excel; office equipment such as copiers/telephone systems)
  • Familiarity with history and varieties of medical marijuana preferred but not required
  • Outstanding phone and in-person guest service skills
  • Thriving to perform job duties in a fast-paced environment with the ability to stay even keeled in periods of stress.
  • Demonstrated proactivity, flexibility, adaptability and multi-tasking.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical conduct.
  • Skill in accurate cash management and inventory control.
  • Strong written and oral interpersonal communication skills.
  • Managerial skills with firm understanding of company policies/procedures/SOPs.
  • Ability to effectively plan and prioritize.
  • Ability to focus; attention to detail.

  • Availability during peak business times, including weekends.

Requirements

Additional Qualifications:

Required Knowledge:

  • Basic Math required for inventory, projections, and measurements.
  • Prior experience with building maintenance and construction.

Physical Requirements:

  • Extended time standing, walking, bending, and reaching
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for a distance of 100 feet
  • Close visual focus required
  • Standing for extended period of time in excess of 4 hours increments

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • A successful candidate will need to be 21 years of age and in compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. Must complete a State/Federal background check and fingerprinting.
