To be blunt, this role will be about:

  • Implementing merchandising strategies on core assortment by market and by store.
  • Implementing merchandising strategies on pricing architecture (Good, Better, Best).
  • Monitoring retail inventory levels at the SKU level to ensure proper levels to support current sales plan.
  • Developing and maintain relationships with supply partners.
  • Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms and methods.
  • Interfacing with retail locations on existing and new products and inventory needs.
  • Setting retail pricing, ensuring sales, markups, and markdowns are executed.
  • Helping develop and support product launches and promotional strategies focused on driving incremental revenue and profit dollars.
  • Partnering with Purchasing Manager to analyze SKU-level pricing and profitability.
  • Remaining in full compliance with the laws and regulations for each location, always.

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree is desirable.
  • 1+ years industry experience preferred.
  • Merchandising and buying experience (2+ years), Cannabis required
  • Cannabis product knowledge is required.
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel and use of other software systems used for analytics.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience frequently interacting with customers, fulfilling customer requests, and addressing issues, questions, or suggestions.
  • Professional written and verbal communication with multiple levels and departments, while being connected to the detailed support.
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
  • Good interpersonal skills and proven ability to positively influence people; must be capable of effectively interacting at all levels in the organization.
  • Detail oriented with an eye on process optimization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to manage high stress situations, and to be flexible and adaptable when a situation requires it.
