About the Role (

How you'll make a difference

  • Monitor access in and out of the dispensary, helping dispensary staff control access to the facility in accordance with State Rules and Regulations by following a strict check-in process, and actively monitoring physical security around the site
  • Assist dispensary staff with controlling access to facility by ID examination and verification
  • Protect company and customer information in accordance with policies/procedures
  • Engage in de-escalation techniques to assist with patient and customer disputes
  • In the event of emergency, secure staff, visitors, and building; act as liaison with local police or law enforcement
  • Monitor security cameras
  • Greet and check-in patients in a professional, pleasant and courteous manner, as well as schedule consultation appointments for patients through our online scheduling system.
  • Delegate and communicate patient needs swiftly to dispensary staff to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Responsible for taking incoming calls, checking voicemails, and distributing messages to appropriate personnel. Returning phone calls in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure that the dispensary is kept clean and organized for patients and staff.
  • Understand and maintain compliance with all state regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
  • Assist with Administrative & Reception tasks as needed including.
  • Building and maintaining patient profiles in our dispensing software system (BioTrack), which includes creation of profiles, updating patient information when necessary, and scanning required documentation
  • Patient enrollment assistance through the state registration website (Biznet).
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

Skills to be Successful

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience de-escalating challenging situations
  • 2+ years' experience in private or public security, law enforcement, or other governmental security agencies (Preferred, not required)
  • Ability to pass a State mandated background check
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining calm with a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize needs in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with employees, patients and public.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices

Computers and Technology

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to learn, navigate and accurately utilize the company's Point of Sale & Patient data management software systems
  • Familiarity with Google Forms is a plus

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Must be able to work quickly but efficiently, while maintaining the integrity of the product.
  • Light to moderate lifting of up to 50 lbs; heavier weights with assistance.
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Repetitive motions and understanding of lab equipment.
  • Must wear company-provided lab coats, hair/beard nets, gloves, surgical masks, and safety glasses/ goggles/ splash shield, while working in the lab.
  • Must adhere to facility general hygiene requirements.
  • Capacity to stay focused on the task at hand.
