Role Requirements
Responsibilities
Operational Leadership:
· Provide strategic direction and leadership to all operational functions, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
· Oversee and optimize cultivation, manufacturing, and distribution operations to maximize efficiency and productivity.
Process Implementation:
· Identify and implement operational best practices to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall business performance.
· Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and compliance.
Supply Chain Management:
· Collaborate with supply chain teams to optimize procurement, inventory management, and distribution processes.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and partners to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.
Compliance and Regulatory Affairs:
· Ensure strict adherence to local and state regulations governing cannabis operations.
· Stay abreast of industry changes and proactively address compliance challenges.
Team Leadership and Development:
· Build and lead a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
· Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to key team members.
Strategic Planning:
· Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute strategic plans that support the company’s growth objectives.
· Evaluate potential partnerships, acquisitions, and expansion opportunities.
Financial Management:
· Work closely with the finance team to develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial sustainability.
· Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and improve operational performance.
· Take steps to improve all facets of the operation to maximize the probability of exceeding budget numbers, with focus on top line revenue and net income.
Risk Management:
· Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring a secure and compliant operating environment.
· Implement contingency plans to address potential disruptions.
Brand Building & Marketing
· Ensure Satori products are displayed in dispensaries with the Satori name and logo visible.
· Collaborate with R&D and marketing to focus on adding new products to the market.
Physical Requirements
Experience
Skills & Qualifications:
· Must be 21 years of age or older.
· Ability to pass a comprehensive background check as mandated by the Cannabis Control Board.
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or related field. MBA is a plus.
· Proven experience (minimum 10 years) in a senior operations management role, preferably within the cannabis or related industries.
· Senior level experience in sales, brand marketing, GTM strategy, and general business leadership
· Ability to be hands on with strategy, business development, and execution of most significant growth opportunities.
· Strong track record of success in sales strategy, brand marketing, and product innovation.
· Strong understanding of cannabis regulations and compliance requirements.
· Demonstrated success in scaling operations, driving process improvements, and achieving operational excellence.
· Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
· Adaptable and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
