Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Oversight: Monitor all aspects of the SOC's operations, including surveillance, access control, and incident response. Ensure that all activities comply with company policies and industry standards.
- Communication Management: Act as the primary point of contact for communication between SOC personnel, management, and external agencies (including emergency services). Ensure accurate and timely reporting of incidents.
- Incident Response: Coordinate and respond to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies. Evaluate situations and make critical decisions to manage incidents effectively.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all shifts' incidents, activities, and communications. Prepare shift reports for management review and analysis.
- Staff Scheduling: Help schedule SOC operators for shifts, ensuring adequate coverage and support for all operational needs.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs for SOC personnel and facilitate ongoing training sessions to improve skills and knowledge related to security operations.
- Performance Monitoring: Evaluate the performance of SOC operators, providing constructive feedback and conducting performance reviews as needed.
Required Knowledge and Skills:

- Security Operations Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of security protocols, emergency response procedures, and asset protection strategies.

- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across various levels of the organization.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with security monitoring systems, access control technologies, and incident reporting software.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and adherence to security standards.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent and an associate or bachelor's degree in a related field are preferred.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a security operations center or related environment is required.
- Certification in security management or emergency response (e.g., CPR, First Aid) is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant security software applications.
- Working Conditions:
- The Shift Supervisor will be required to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- The role may involve extended monitoring of security systems and require swift responses to emergencies.
