I. BRAND DESIGN & VISUAL EXECUTION

  • Hands-on design execution (approximately 60-70%):
    • Create visually compelling and engaging content across various channels (e.g. social media, websites, flyers, email), ensuring consistency with brand guidelines.
    • Develop logos, layouts, color palettes, and key visuals for digital, print and physical applications.
    • Develop a strong understanding of our brand and ensure consistency in visual communication.
  • Outsourced Creative Management (approximately 30-40%):
    • Write clear creative briefs for external designers, agencies, and vendors to produce assets aligned with brand standards.
    • Manage outsourced design projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and consistency with brand standards.
    • Review and provide clear feedback on outsourced work to ensure quality and cohesion.

II.

CONTENT STRATEGY AND PUBLISHING

  • STRATEGIC CONTENT PLANNING
    • Contribute to the development and execution of an integrated digital content strategy for the company's brands.
    • Create and maintain a multi-channel content calendar that supports campaign goals and long-term brand-building.
    • Collaborate with Brand and Marketing teams to define campaign deliverables, create cohesive messaging across all channels (including websites, social media, and email) and ensure consistency in brand identity, voice and tone.
    • Monitor market trends and audience behavior to inform strategic decisions and maintain competitive positioning.
  • Content Publishing
    • Publish and optimize content across social media, websites, and email platforms, tailoring assets to platform-specific requirements.
    • Regularly update product brand websites, ensuring accuracy, functionality, and alignment with brand identity.

III. CREATIVE DIRECTION & CAMPAIGN DEVELOPMENT

  • Develop creative concepts, visual direction, and messaging for campaigns, displays, swag, activations and collateral.
  • Create initial designs and mockups for projects, specifying key visuals, logo placements, and creative elements to guide project execution.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure creative assets align with overall campaign objectives and brand strategy.
  • Translate marketing objectives into impactful designs that resonate with our target audience.

IV.

DATA ANALYSIS AND REPORTING

PERFORMANCE TRACKING:

  • Monitor content performance using metrics like engagement, traffic, and conversions.
  • Provide insights from data analysis to refine content strategy and optimize performance.

ITERATIVE IMPROVEMENTS

  • Adjust designs and content based on performance data and stakeholder feedback, ensuring content remains impactful and aligned with audience needs.
  • Regularly evaluate creative processes to identify inefficiencies and introduce solutions to enhance team productivity and output quality.

Skills to be Successful

:

  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 3-5 years of experience in design and content production, including digital and print media. 3+ years of Marketing experience in Cannabis or other heavily regulated industry.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple creative projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • Expertise in digital tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and Canva.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing design execution for social media, email, web, and in-store POS/displays.
  • Experience managing external creative vendors, including providing briefs and overseeing project delivery.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Passion for brand storytelling and customer engagement.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

  • Basic video editing using beginner-friendly apps like Canva Video, InShot or CapCut to create engaging social content.
  • Familiarity with simple audio editing apps for basic adjustments (experience preferred, but not required).
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Alpine IQ, Mailchimp, Klaviyo) for developing and deploying engaging email campaigns.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and web development best practices to support content updates on websites.
