CORE JOB DUTIES
- Support the documentation and data entry related to organizational changes, including transfers, promotions, salary changes, and other types.
- Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, employment verifications, unemployment, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
- Manage the employee personnel files. Ensure appropriate employee paperwork is captured and filed. Audit paperwork regularly.
- Must be able to go into the office on a weekly basis to pick up, sort and scan mail.
- Process unemployment claims, terminations filings, severance paperwork, and organizational change requests in a timely and organized manner.
- Supports Talent Acquistion processes and systems, as needed.
- Collaborate with HR Shared Service Manager and HR leadership to evaluate, map, improve, and automate processes.
- Efficiently use systems to optimize work including Docusign, MS Excel & Word, Unemployment Portal, Greenhouse, Wurk (HRIS), and other systems as required.
- Ad hoc audits and projects in support of performance, benefit, and compensation review and evaluation processes.
- Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and other documentation related to HR processes.
- Ad hoc support of pre-boarding and onboarding processes for new employees
- Prepare audits and reports and present findings, as requested.
- Responsible for administrative HR project support and special projects, as needed.
- Provide coverage for other team members when required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
- 2+ years of demonstrable experience across HR functions / areas of expertise
- Highly proficient in most Microsoft Office applications, including MS Word and Excel
- Ability to use general office equipment and troubleshooting methods
- Excellent communicator and active listener
- Must be extremely detail-oriented
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Flexible, resourceful, and adaptable to change
- Previous data entry and administrative office experience preferred
