ROLE SUMMARY

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs vehicle inspections ensuring safety and compliance of fleet vehicles, with respect to all applicable DOT, Florida Chapter 381 regulations, and internal SOPs
Provides daily additional vehicle checks on long distance route assigned trucks and coordinates with Supervisor/Manager to identify/correct compliance and/or safety issues.
Tracks available Samsara hardware inventory (excel doc) and performs hardware installations/activations, uninstalls/deactivations, and related troubleshooting.
Uphold company standards of excellence and service, guaranteeing quality performance
Maintains best practices utilizing "lock out/tag out" approach when inspecting vehicles or performing inspections or minor repairs. Suggest training programs and techniques to improve processes and provides hands on training to complete daily vehicle inspections.
Tracks vehicle maintenance intervals using Samsara and coordinates with Supervisor/Management to schedule maintenance.
Monitor and evaluate safe work practices and maintain a safe work environment

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum High School diploma
Minimum One (1) year of related functional experience in fleet management
Must have the ability to balance customer satisfaction requirements with organizational objectives
Able to work independently and make crucial decisions
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal/ external contacts.
Organizational skills with a high aptitude for meeting objectives and maintaining detail orientation.
Aptitude to understand data to drive decisions
Must be at least 21 years of age
Strongly self-motivated, to include studying and maintaining working knowledge of industry standards and trends
Must possess the mental and physical capacities necessary to perform the job duties
Must be able to pass a level 1 and level 2 background check and drug screening
