What You'll Do:

  • Manage all payroll operations with precision, including full-cycle processing, special runs, tax withholdings, deductions, and adjustments
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the payroll team to ensure exceptional service delivery and continuous performance improvement
  • Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and international payroll regulations, HR policies, and internal controls
  • Proactively resolve tax-related issues, collaborate with external payroll providers, and support audits by implementing improvement recommendations
  • Drive payroll process improvements by implementing best practices, optimizing efficiency, and ensuring accuracy through thorough documentation and cross-training initiatives
  • Own and optimize Wurk timecard and payroll system configurations to ensure seamless, efficient, and compliant payroll operations
  • Collaborate with HR, Accounting, and Finance to streamline employee data integration and ensure accurate payroll and general ledger reconciliations
  • Oversee seamless payroll integrations for acquired entities and develop new policies to support smooth transitions and compliance
  • Generate and analyze comprehensive payroll reports, correspondence, and data summaries to support strategic decision-making

What You'll Bring:

  • You have 7+ years of experience managing all aspects of payroll administration in a global organization
  • You have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • You have experience leading teams and driving results in fast-paced, growth-focused environments
  • You can build strong relationships with employees and leaders at all levels, backed by exceptional executive presence, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • You excel in problem-solving and conflict management while influencing without authority and upholding integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • You have exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage projects, backed by expertise in research, reporting, and analytics

Even Better If:

  • You hold a Certified Payroll Professional (CCP) Certification
  • You have previous experience in the cannabis industry and are proficient in Wurk software
