JOB SUMMARY

CORE JOB DUTIES

  • Responsible for supervising the day-to-day actions of cultivation leads/staff and cultivation operations
  • Serves as a role-model and resource for cultivation staff concerning products and services, policies and procedures, industry news, and changes in regulations.
  • Responsible for delegating tasks to gardeners daily as dictated by the garden calendar
  • Coordinates with Cultivation Leaders to ensure accurate information is communicated to the cultivation staff.
  • Primary areas of responsibility/management include mother, propagation, flower and vegetative rooms/departments.
  • Responsible for producing healthy, consistent high-quality mothers/clones
  • Responsible for mother/vegetative/clone plant care, training staff, and maintaining processes to Cresco standards
  • Lead teams of agents in topping, skirting, transplanting and moving plants
  • Relays pertinent information concerning plant health, scheduling and cultivation staff to the Operations Manager.
  • Coordinates necessary pest management practices to ensure that all plants are entering the flower houses disease free and healthy
  • Assist in the maintenance of accurate records for all cultivation activities including employee records, inventory records, crop application records, harvest data collection in accordance with the State and standards set by Cresco Labs.
  • Responsible for assisting with data entry, employee scheduling, and payroll
  • Responsible for assisting with monitoring cultivation software during both on/off facility hours along with weekend oversight
  • Responsible for performance management of Cultivation Staff, including hiring and termination

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS

  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in plant biology, physiology, biological sciences, or agricultural sciences, or demonstrated experience supervising a large-scale agriculture facility OR 2 years of experience in a position with managerial responsibilities in cultivation.
  • OSHA certified in Safety training preferred
  • Supervisorial experience with managing a team of 8-12 workers
  • Knowledge of cannabis cultivation, cultivation facility operations, fertigation systems, defoliating, transplanting, cloning/topping procedures, healthy plant identification, and canopy maintenance
  • Critical-thinking, problem-solving, planning and assessment
  • Computer literacy in word processing, database management, windows-based software and point of sale applications
  • Experience with use of cannabis software to monitor/adjust room environments, feeding schedules & plant stress points
  • Knowledge of medical cannabis policy and law
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Effective time-management and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment
  • Requires work around plant material, which could include exposure to plant pollen and/or dust.
  • Requires ability to sit, stand, and/or do repetitive actions with your hands for long periods of time.
  • Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs to torso level.
