Who You Are:

What You Will Do:

  • Operate advanced extraction and purification equipment, including pressurized systems, rotary evaporation, winterization, distillation, and more.
  • Author and adhere to SOPs for extraction, post-processing, and laboratory maintenance.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of lab equipment, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Plan and execute daily extractions, meet production goals, and track inventory.
  • Support R&D initiatives by building experimental designs and implementing process improvements.
  • Develop and document meticulous lab notes, batch records, and compliance documentation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, operations, and supervisors to drive innovation.
  • Install and maintain plumbing and electrical components for lab equipment.
  • Ensure strict adherence to state and federal regulations, maintaining compliance with all legal standards.

Compliance:

  • Ensure processing operation is fully compliant with state regulations and federal and state law.
  • Assure that operation adheres to all business and industry license requirements.
  • Maintaining strict inventory records of all plant materials, chemicals and equipment used in the laboratory and documents production by completing forms, reports, logs and batch records
  • Maintaining inventory within state-issued cannabis inventory software

What You'll Bring:

  • High school diploma required + 2 years of technical/vocational training.
  • Hands-on experience with pressurized systems, extraction processes, and rotary evaporation.
  • Mechanical aptitude with a strong understanding of plumbing and electrical systems.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and proficiency in scientific record-keeping.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across teams.
  • Knowledge of cGMP, health and safety protocols, and hazardous waste handling.
  • Familiarity with ROTO evaporation and other extraction equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Even Better If:

  • You have 1-2 years of laboratory or manufacturing experience.
  • You have a B.S. in Chemical, Mechanical, or Bioprocess Engineering.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time, along with frequent bending
  • Close vision (unobstructed vision at 20 inches or less)
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, work with fingers
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds and push up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to work in an environment that is exposed to plant materials and strong odors
