Operational Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain security measures to protect the organization's physical and digital assets, including information systems and network infrastructure.
- Monitor systems for irregularities, oversee security cameras, and ensure proper storage and retrieval of footage.
- Manage visitor check-in processes, audit visitor logs, and oversee distribution and collection of visitor identification badges.
- Supervise the security team's daily operations, including completing and reviewing incident reports and conducting performance feedback.
- Act as the primary liaison with law enforcement during emergencies and ensure the safety of personnel and facilities.
- Educate and train staff on security protocols and best practices to prevent breaches and ensure compliance.
- Support inventory control by maintaining accurate tracking of security-related supplies and equipment.
- Lead and manage the logistics and transport team: including supervision, training, coaching, and performance management. Maintain confidentiality in all personnel matters.
- Ensure compliance with department regulations, SOPs, and policies collaborating with security and compliance to meet Ohio DOH requirements, including waste disposal and product transport.
- Develop and oversee transport protocols: coordinating and working with security for route planning, staffing, and delivery schedules to ensure safe, accurate, and timely delivery of products and materials.
- Coordinate initial order verification and hand-off to Inventory and Fulfillment Manager, confirming all products are loaded, labeled, and packaged correctly for dispatch.
- Support SOP development for inventory and delivery processes and effectively communicate protocols to the team, providing guidance and direct support as needed.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Lead recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and development of the security team.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and state regulations.
- Prepare budgets and cost analyses for security equipment and operational needs.
- Maintain training records for the security team and ensure adherence to company policies.
- Build and maintain vendor relationships to ensure effective communication and procurement.
- Conduct regular reviews of security procedures to identify areas for improvement.
- Oversee disciplinary actions and performance reviews to maintain professional standards.
Skills to be Successful
:
Education and Experience
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent - required
- Associate degree or higher in criminal justice or related field -preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or related field - required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with CCTB monitoring and physical building security - required
- Work history showing progressive responsibility and a willingness to accept additional projects and/or challenges
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
