The Role

Responsibilities

  • Create on-brand, on-brief design work across multiple mediums on a variety of projects briefed in by the Beverage team.
  • Create multiple design options that meet (or exceed) provided creative briefs; consulting with the Beverage team and VP Creative for collaboration and feedback throughout the process.
  • Manage multiple projects and work with multiple disciplines at one time; ability to strategically prioritize projects & delegate work to others (internal or external) while maintaining a full plate of their own.
  • Ensure brand consistency across multiple assets, work with multiple identities concurrently.
  • Actively contribute to the creative process during team meetings by asking questions, voicing opinions, and thoughtfully interacting with the team to creatively problem-solve for the task at hand.
  • Organize and maintain project management flows as well as digital file systems.
  • Carry a design through the entire project process, making revisions or creating new versions as needed in order to fulfill the brief's deliverables; preparing assets to be handed off to the Production designer based on Production guidelines.
  • Follow and implement provided state guidelines and requirements on all materials.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 (7+ preferred) years of experience in Graphic Design; either within an Ad agency, Design studio, or in-house alc/bev marketing team experience preferred.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator).
  • Beginner to Intermediate proficiency with After Effects (or similar animation/vfx application), Microsoft applications, and project management applications.
  • A strong interest in packaging and typography.
  • Can provide a portfolio of work that showcases a wide variety of design styles & executions; experience designing for consumer goods and retail preferred.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment with keen judgement, common sense and resourcefulness; performs under minimal daily supervision, receiving guidance from Beverage team and VP Creative.
  • Possess a high level of critical thinking, continuously open to constructive, developmental feedback.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and willingness to learn existing/new workflows preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in terms of communication, both written and verbal.
  • Operates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information; maintains professionalism when interacting with celebrity talent.
  • Willing and able to attend and/or work events on evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Interacts regularly with entirety of the Beverage team and cross-functional teams as needed for completion of assigned projects.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferred.

  • Must possess valid driver's license
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
  • Must be approved b y state badging agency to work in cannabis industry
