Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Plant Care and Advanced Cultivation:
- Execute and oversee daily feeding and care schedules, identifying and addressing inconsistencies or issues promptly.
- Lead by example in pruning and repotting crops, ensuring uniformity, accuracy, and adherence to best practices.
- Proactively monitor plants for pests, deficiencies, or irregularities and implement corrective measures in collaboration with the Cultivation Manager.
- Administrative Tasks and Inventory Oversight:
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of nutrient mixes, equipment maintenance, and crop-related activities while ensuring timely updates to leadership.
- Assist the Cultivation Manager in planning and coordinating inventory audits, reconciling discrepancies, and optimizing resource allocation.
- Serve as a liaison to the inventory and fulfillment department, ensuring seamless plant tracking and compliance with seed-to-sale requirements.
- Facility and Equipment Leadership:
- Take ownership of maintaining and cleaning all cultivation department equipment and tools, including lights, reflectors, mixing tools, application tools, and ventilation equipment.
- Train Cultivation Technicians on proper calibration, operation, cleaning, and storage of critical tools, including pH, EC, and PPM meters.
- Proactively identify facility or equipment issues and escalate recommendations for repair or replacement to the Cultivation Manager.
- Department and Regulatory Compliance:
- Serve as a role model for adherence to health, safety, and operational standards, ensuring proper handling of fertigation systems, environmental controls, and water distribution systems.
- Monitor compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements, offering corrective guidance to Cultivation Technicians as needed.
- Support leadership in preparing for audits or inspections by ensuring all compliance documentation and facility conditions meet standards.
- Team Mentorship and Leadership
- Act as a mentor to Cultivation Technicians, providing guidance, support, and training to promote skill development, and consistency.
- Assist in the onboarding and training of new team members, ensuring they understand processes, expectations, and compliance standards.
- Perform additional responsibilities and other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the cultivation team and company objectives.
Requirements
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent - required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in horticulture, botany, or a related field - required
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve plant health or equipment issues independently - required

Additional Qualifications
- Must be of the minimum age requirement per Company policy.
- Ability to pass state mandated background check(s)
- Certification as a Private Pest Applicator in Pennsylvania (required within 90 days of employment).
Computers and Technology
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Skilled in navigating and accurately utilizing the company's seed-to-sale tracking software (where applicable).
