Budtender

We are looking for a Budtender for our Edwards location. Budtenders assist customers with their purchases. They recommend suitable cannabis products to customers, address customers' concerns, and ensure that sales floors are adequately stocked. We are looking to employ a knowledgeable and experienced Budtender to assist customers in selecting suitable cannabis products. 

To be successful as a Budtender, you should keep abreast of the latest developments in cannabis laws to maintain legal compliance. Ultimately, and outstanding Budtender should be able to demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills by ensuring that customers are well-informed and satisfied with their purchases. Our Budtenders are often the first experience a consumer has with our products, and it’s imperative that the experience is one of education, experience, and value.  

Just a short time ago in 2016, Tumbleweed Dispensary began growing like a weed, rolling its way across the Colorado high country. Today, when loyal customers mosey into any of our eight convenient dispensary locations along the I-70 corridor, they trust our low prices will always be the same and their western experience will be as authentic as a tumbleweed blowing down a dusty road. We have our 8 dispensaries in Colorado and 1 in Michigan, complete with a MIPS/kitchen facility, and grows. These grows and kitchens helps us to manufacture our own in-house brands as well and they are called Care Division, Wyldfire, CannaPunch, Dutch Girl, among a few others. • Advising customers on suitable cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to different strains of cannabis.

• Keeping abreast of new cannabis products on the market as well as the latest industry trends through trade shows and research.

• Processing customers' payments using the dispensary's Point of Sale (POS) system.

• Ensuring that the dispensary is clean and well-organized at all times.

• Educating customers on the safe use of their selected cannabis products.

• Correctly weighing, packaging, and labeling cannabis products as required.

• Checking customers' identification documents to verify that they are of legal age.

• Taking inventory of cannabis products and ensuring that the sales floor is adequately stocked.

• Promote, coordinate, and support planned promotions and in-store deals to achieve sell-through and re-orders- boosting the brand for our clients and customers

• Managing an inventory of promotional swag and material, including in-store vendor day collateral (table, signage, rug).

• Merchandising retail locations with up-to-date displays and promotional materials.

• Capturing in-store information such as merchandising and branding points.

• Representing the brand and effectively communicating our value propositions and technical differentiators.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for long periods of time

• High school diploma or GED.

• Must have reliable transportation.

• 21+

• Proven experience working as a Budtender.

• A valid marijuana worker's permit or license.

• Sound knowledge of cannabis strains and their medicinal benefits.

• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.

• Outstanding organizational skills.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Effective communication skills.

• Exceptional customer service skills.
