Summary

Administrative Cashier

Your role in caring for our company:

  • Count and reconcile employee cash drawers at the beginning of each shift to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in cash balances, working closely with store management to ensure proper documentation and reporting.
  • Prepare and complete daily cash deposits, ensuring they are made in accordance with company policies and timelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of cash transactions and deposit logs.
  • Count and reconcile the cash safes twice a week.
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of the store's employee schedule based on staffing needs, availability, and business demands.
  • Communicate any schedule changes or updates to employees in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate shift swaps when necessary.
  • Manage inventory of office and retail supplies, ensuring all necessary items are stocked and ordered on time.
  • Track supply usage and anticipate future needs to prevent shortages.
  • Liaise with vendors to place orders and ensure timely delivery of supplies.
  • Assist with other clerical tasks as required, such as filing and data entry.
  • Support store management in providing a positive shopping experience for customers by ensuring cash management operations are efficient.
  • Offer assistance to employees with cash-related questions or concerns.
  • Promote a positive and productive working environment by maintaining open communication with team members.
  • Ensure all cash handling procedures comply with company policies and local regulations.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality with all financial and employee information.
  • Follow all safety and security protocols to minimize risk.

All other duties as necessary.

Qualifications we ask you to have:

  • For legal reasons, all employees need to be at least 21 years of age.
  • You will be asked to pass a Federal and State criminal history background check.
  • We ask that you have at least two (2) years of banking, teller or cashier experience.
  • We ask that you have an Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

  • Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure.
  • Maintain open communication with the management team and other co-workers.
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and desire to be accountable, transparent and proactive.

Work Schedule/Location:

  • On-site five days a week.

  • While performing the duties of this position, you will be regularly asked to talk or hear.
  • You will frequently use your hands of fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
  • Occasionally you will need to stand/walk/sit and reach with hands and arms.
  • You will be asked to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
