**Position Overview:**
The **Assistant General Manager** (AGM) will play a crucial role in supporting the General Manager (GM) with the overall operations of our new location. This role is ideal for a motivated leader who is passionate about retail operations, compliance, and customer service. The AGM will assist in overseeing daily store activities, managing staff, and ensuring an outstanding customer experience while maintaining compliance in a highly regulated industry.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Operational Support**
Assist in managing store operations, including inventory control, cash handling, scheduling, and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Ensure compliance with all state and local cannabis regulations and company policies.
Support the GM in implementing operational strategies to maximize efficiency and profitability.
Team Leadership \u0026 Development
Help recruit, train, and mentor a team of 14-18 employees to create a high-performance culture.
Act as a leader on the floor, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that aligns with company values.
**Customer Experience \u0026 Sales**
Support the GM in implementing strategies to enhance customer satisfaction, increase sales, and build customer loyalty.
Ensure a welcoming and educational retail environment that promotes informed and responsible cannabis consumption.
Address and resolve customer concerns in a professional and efficient manner.
**Inventory \u0026 Cash Handling**
Assist in monitoring inventory levels, ensuring accurate tracking, timely replenishment, and loss prevention.
Maintain strict adherence to cash handling and security protocols.
**Scheduling \u0026 Reporting**
Help manage employee schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours and special events.
Assist in preparing reports on sales, staffing, and operational performance to support decision-making.
**Qualifications:**
2+ years of retail management or supervisory experience.
Experience leading and mentoring teams of 10+ employees preferred.
Strong knowledge of inventory management, cash handling, and retail operations.
Ability to work in a highly regulated environment while maintaining compliance with SOPs.
Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
Cannabis industry experience is a plus but not required.
**Work Schedule:**
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, especially during the store’s launch phase.
