The Role
End User Computing (EUC) Manager
Responsibilities
Strategic & Leadership Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the EUC strategy in alignment with the organization's IT and business goals.
- Lead and manage the EUC team , including desktop support specialists, engineers, and technicians.
- Ensure the availability, reliability, and security of end-user computing services, including hardware, software, and remote access solutions.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to identify and implement improvements in user experience and productivity .
Operational Responsibilities:
- Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and management of end-user devices (desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, kiosks, POS and conference rooms).
- Ensure effective incident management and resolution of IT support issues, prioritizing customer satisfaction and minimal downtime.
- Manage device lifecycle processes , including procurement, asset tracking, upgrades, and disposal.
- Establish and enforce IT policies, security standards, and compliance for end-user devices.
- Support remote and hybrid workforce solutions , including VPN, virtual desktops, and collaboration tools.
- Oversee the software distribution and patch management process to maintain security and performance.
- Manage relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure cost-effective and high-quality solutions.
Technology & Innovation:
- Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve end-user productivity and support capabilities.
- Lead automation and self-service initiatives , such as AI-driven IT support or self-service portals.
- Monitor emerging IT trends in EUC, cloud computing, and mobility to drive innovation.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field .
- 10 years of experience in end-user computing, IT support, or desktop engineering .
- 10 years of experience in managing IT teams and IT service delivery.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, Windows OS, macOS, mobile device management (MDM), and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) .
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in desktop imaging, software deployment, and patch management tools (e.g., SCCM, Intune, Jamf).
- Knowledge of IT security best practices , including endpoint security and identity management.
- Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks such as ITIL.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network-related issues .
Soft Skills:
- Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on user satisfaction and service excellence .
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment .
- Collaborative mindset to work with cross-functional teams .
- Ability to mentor and bring out skills in younger team members
Preferred Certifications (Optional but a Plus):
- ITIL Foundation Certification
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator
- CompTIA A+ or similar IT support certifications
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Additional Requirements
- Must pass any and all required background checks
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
- Must possess valid driver's license
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Must be approved b y state badging agency to work in cannabis industry
