IN A NUTSHELL...
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Assesses, updates, and implements new processes, including best practices.
- Oversight manufacturing process of therapeutic cannabis-based products.
- Reviews, revises, and maintains operating procedures and implements training to the department to ensure quality control.
- Serves as the subject matter expert for the production team in current and future projects.
- Partners with Kitchen Supervisors and processing team meet/exceed production and quality related goals.
- Provides guidance, upskills, and trains technical team.
- Trains and assesses performance for new staff members.
- Ensures equipment is operating as appropriate, troubleshoots machinery when needed.
- Travels between cultivation/processing and lab facilities.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU'LL BRING
- Age 21 or over
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Government-Issued Photo ID
- 3-5 years' experience in industrial compounding or Softgel manufacturing
- Experience in quality control, policy and procedures and documentation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization skills
- Strong interest in agriculture/horticulture and willing to work in adverse conditions
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in a science related field
- Three (3) years of Pharmaceutical/Nutraceutical experience
- Softgel Manufacturing Certifications and/or continued education in the industry
- Knowledge of horticultural pests and diseases is a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to get respirator fit test certified by a medical professional and perform pesticide applications.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
- Hand and eye coordination with extreme attention to detail
- Exposure to greenhouse environments that exceed temperatures of 100 degrees Fahrenheit
- Must be able to stand squat and kneel for long periods of time in small spaces that can be high in heat, high in humidity, wet or dry.
- Ability to climb up and down a ladder frequently
- Exposure to bright light where eye protection is required
- Exposure to cannabis odor
- Exposure to water during the duration of the shift is common with growing environments
