Summary
The Apothecarium
Responsibilities:
- Hire, train, schedule and manage staff at all the dispensaries dispensary to achieve established standards, sales and profit objectives as well as customer satisfaction. Ensure that all deadlines are met and take accountability for completion.
- Drive a culture of positive employee engagement with a strong focus on inclusion & diversity.
- Mentors, coaches, motivates, and develops the team through performance succession planning to ensure company's culture and expectations are exceeded and supports employee growth.
- Ensure effective team communication occurs by hosting monthly dispensary staff meetings, maintaining an open-door policy, and welcoming patient feedback.
- Actively manage inventory, recalls, returns, and pricing to meet cost and sales targets.
- Effectively manage cash controls and financial reporting. Ensure check register, cash outs, bank logs, inventory and deposits are accurate and executed according to TerrAscend's standards.
- Effectively manage service labor, scheduling, and payroll budget.
- Perform business management operations and analyses such as P&L; develop and review KPI reports for dispensaries to monitor opportunities and challenges with a goal to maximize revenues and profits.
- Proactively monitor dispensary profit and loss and develop effective mitigation between actual performance and company budget and projections. Work with management team to develop insight as for business decisions.
- Maintain a general awareness of cannabis and retail trends to help create innovative and adaptive strategies. Work closely with grower-processors to understand and learn about their products.
- Work with the Director of each Dispensary to meet all regulatory requirements. Correct all violations with a sense of urgency.
- Work with TerrAscend's corporate teams (HR, Finance, Marketing, etc.) to ensure standards are met.
- Oversee all complicacy regulations, safety measures, security issues, and legal matters.
- Partner with Director of Education and Medical Professional to ensure team cohesion, promotes RPh's feedback, and participates in medical professional quarterly check-ins.
- Promote open feedback from retail staff, medical professional team, and marketing department.
- Be an expert lead in seed-to-sale tracking system, POS System, LEAF TRADE, and Ecomm platform.
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years of management experience in retail, restaurant, food, or other service industry with responsibility for financial results
- Cannabis experience highly preferred
- Excellent leadership and coaching skills; empathy and understanding of your team; servant-leadership experience
- Previous management proficiency in high-volume retail with P&L accountability
- Ability to create and maintain a customer-focused culture
- Must satisfy the minimum age criteria mandated by applicable state cannabis regulations for this role.
