Cannabis Cultivation Technician
Responsibilities:
- Measuring and mixing nutrients and plant applications and administering these mixtures according to company policy;
- On-going plant maintenance including pruning, skirting, topping, and training according to company policy;
- Weighing all shake, stem, and material trimmed from the plant;
- Sorting and weighing each yield from each plant;
- Reporting all weights to the Cultivation Production Manager;
- Germinating seeds in a clean environment to ensure no contamination;
- Creating viable and healthy clones from mother plants;
- Transplanting and transferring plants;
- Spraying and introducing preventive controls for pests;
- Recording all weights trimmed, nutrients used, chemicals sprayed, and tagged plants as required by the state track and trace system;
- Monitoring and adjusting environmental controls as directed;
- Monitoring plant health and reporting anomalies to the Cultivation Production Manager;
- Assisting the Cultivation Production Manager with the rotation of strains through the garden to ensure variety and quantity goals for the cultivation facility
- Performing all assigned duties to maintain the facility's cleanliness and safety;
- Maintaining a clean workspace to prevent cross-contamination by cleaning and sanitizing rooms and tools;
- Ensuring personal hygiene is acceptable under standards set by the company before performing any production activities by showering, wearing a hair net, changing clothes;
- Ensuring that all cultivation equipment is clean and maintained, including light reflectors, containers, mixing tools, application tools, and ventilation equipment.
- Assisting the Cultivation Production Manager with tracking plants from birth to harvest by ensuring proper and accurate documentation for applicable activities;
- Ensuring accurate documentation of all plant tracking numbers, lot numbers, and other applicable information;
- Documenting according to company policy the application of all nutrients and/or substances applied to any plant located within the cultivation facility.
Requirements:
- Great attitude and ability to follow direction, learn quickly and gain an understanding of the broader cultivation process
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Passion for cannabis
- Must submit fingerprints and pass criminal background check to obtain Missouri Agent ID card
- High School diploma or GED required
- Ability to work weekends and holidays
- 1 year of experience in commercial cannabis or related field
Preferred:
- Prior cultivation experience in a cannabis cultivation setting, working with a large volume of plants.
- Horticulture/Plant Science degree
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
- Walk, stand, stoop, bend/crouch and climb up and down stairs, ladders & scaffolding
- Lift 50 lbs.
