Description

  • Provide department leadership to ensure all operations function with integrity and in the most cost-efficient, compassionate, and compliant manner.
  • Communicate the details of daily operations to the Director of Retail.
  • Implement and oversee security, reporting, and cash management procedures related to opening and closing of the dispensaries.
  • Possess a high level of initiative and drive to do whatever is necessary to build and run a successful operation.
  • Creating a cohesive team atmosphere among staff, which is fun and professional.
  • We serve as a spokesperson, emphasizing company goals, philosophies, and values to all levels of staff.
  • Establish clear communications along all lines within the business & maintaining an open door.
  • Work with the management team to increase customer counts and develop a loyal base of satisfied, returning customers.
  • Own all customer feedback. Provide customer complaint resolution. If the complaint needs to be moved to another department, follow up until resolved.
  • Maintain established standards of transaction times, customer service, and compliance.
  • Utilize customer and staff feedback to implement changes to improve customer service readily .
  • Execute dispensary selling strategies (incentives, displays, internal and external marketing).
  • Recommend future promotions and ways to increase sales trends by understanding the success of previous incentives and promotions.
  • Support dispensary associates with 1 on 1 training, current reference materials, and course correct to ensure optimum performance to create an environment focused on customer service, safety, and compliance.
  • Ensure all employees have accurate , up-to-date knowledge and materials related to their position.
  • Participate in the recruiting, selection , training, development, and success of employees.
  • Create schedules to comply with established labor control policies while maximizing customer service levels.
  • Stay informed and knowledgeable about state and local laws, regulations, and industry news, and ensure the dispensary is compliant.
  • Oversee the performance of inventory reconciliations daily and weekly.
  • Record all sales and inventory transactions accurately and in accordance with state and local laws and regulations.
  • Must be willing and able to occasionally work a flexible schedule as the business needs demand, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or related experience.
  • 2+ years' experience in a management role.
  • Previous cannabis industry experience is required.
  • 5+ years in a retail/customer service environment.
  • Exceptional team-building, communication, and people skills.
  • Proficiency in computer usage, including Office, email, online conferencing, and more.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports relating to dispensary performance metrics.
  • Highest level of integrity and strong work ethic.
  • Excellent time-management skills and ability to effectively plan and prioritize.
  • Demonstrated proactivity, flexibility, adaptability, and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondences, and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, absolute reliability, and honesty.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including anticipatory thinking and working well under pressure while maintaining a calm composure.
  • Demonstrated ability to work comfortably and effectively within a diverse, multicultural, and multigenerational environment.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand, sit for extended periods, and lift up to 15 lbs.
  • Ability to work nights, holidays, and weekends.
