To be blunt, this person will:
- Strategic Property Management: Oversee the management and strategic planning of TerrAscend's real estate portfolio, site assessments, lease negotiations, and property acquisitions.
- Lease Administration: Manage all aspects of lease administration, ensuring compliance with lease terms and conditions. Handle renewals, terminations, and negotiations.
- Property Maintenance: Coordinate and manage property maintenance and repairs, ensuring all locations meet company standards and local regulations.
- Financial Oversight: Develop and manage budgets for all properties, including operating expenses, capital expenditures, and revenue forecasts. Conduct financial analysis and reporting on property performance.
- Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with landlords, vendors, contractors, and service providers. Negotiate contracts and ensure quality service delivery.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all properties comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including zoning laws and cannabis-specific regulations. Manage risk by maintaining proper insurance coverage and addressing safety concerns promptly.
- Expansion and Development: Work closely with the executive team on new store development and expansion plans. Conduct market research and feasibility studies to identify growth opportunities.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams including legal, finance, operations, and retail to support business objectives and ensure seamless property operations.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on property status, property conditions, and lease renewal reports for senior management review.

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate management, preferably within the retail or cannabis industry.
- Strong knowledge of real estate law, lease negotiations, and property management.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service orientation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software.
- Ability to travel as required.
