Summary
IPM/Fertigation Technician
THE TEAM:
Schedule:
- Technician 1: Sunday - Wednesday
- Technician 2: Wednesday - Saturday
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
IPM:
- Assist with scouting and monitoring:
- Aid the IPM/Fertigation Leads in inspecting plants for pests and diseases.
- Learn to identify common pests and diseases and report findings to the Leads or Manager.
- Assist with the placement and monitoring of pest management tools like sticky traps.
- Support IPM activities:
- Help prepare and apply pesticides and biological control agents under the guidance of the IPM/Fertigation Leads.
- Train to independently spray foliar feeds, pesticides, and drenches as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and instructions when handling IPM materials.
- Assist with maintaining a clean and organized work area to minimize pest and disease pressures.
Fertigation:
- Assist with fertigation tasks:
- Help prepare nutrient solutions according to provided recipes.
- Learn to monitor and adjust pH and EC levels of irrigation water and nutrient solutions.
- Assist with irrigation system maintenance and operation.
- Support fertigation activities:
- Help with the organization and inventory of fertilizers and other supplies.
- Record fertigation data as directed by the Leads or Manager.
Flower Production:
- Perform various cultivation tasks as assigned by the Flower/Fertigation Manager, which may include:
- Watering, pruning and defoliating plants.
- Trellising and supporting plants.
- Harvesting and processing plant material.
- Maintaining a clean and organized grow environment.
- Other duties as assigned to support the cultivation team.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Some experience in horticulture, agriculture, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
- A strong interest in cannabis cultivation and a willingness to learn are essential.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Ability to work in an indoor cultivation environment with varying temperatures and humidity levels.
