CORE JOB DUTIES

Operational Management:

  • Responsible for management of Supervisors, Leads, and Agents in the harvest, packaging, and processing departments. Delegate tasks, manage schedules, payroll, performance evaluations and corrective actions.
  • Serve as a role model and resource for production staff regarding product knowledge, industry updates, and policy adherence.
  • Oversee setup and transition of workstations, ensuring smooth operations for staff and efficient task execution.
  • Monitor and report data on production metrics, inventory levels, and efficiency to the Operations Manager.
  • Coordinate with upper management on critical updates, resources, and operational improvements.
  • Engage with line-level employees, Supervisors, and Leads to implement process improvements to enhance safety, product quality, food safety, and employee morale.
  • Assist the Operations Manager in management of department budget

Quality & Compliance:

  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with State and Cresco Labs standards, including employee, material, and crop records.
  • Collaborate with quality teams to maintain labeling accuracy, inventory compliance, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct quarterly and annual reviews of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and update processes in alignment with regulatory changes.
  • Manage raw and bulk materials, ensuring accurate inventory levels to support production demands.
  • Coordinate with the Supply Chain and Maintenance Manager for supply line management, maintenance scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor safety protocols and address potential hazards promptly, promoting a safe work environment maintaining work areas in accordance with relevant regulations and safety codes according to the GMP program.
  • Work with the Master Scheduler to optimize inbound/outbound transfers, maintaining cost-effective and timely routes. Plan and coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to meet timelines and production targets.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS

  • 3-5 years of management experience in a large-scale agriculture or production facility.
  • Knowledge of production, manufacturing processes, and plant cultivation operations.
  • Knowledge of Florida cannabis regulations.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear direction in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Excel, database management, and other Windows-based software.
  • Critical-thinking, problem-solving, and planning skills, with a high attention to detail.
  • Effective time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring prolonged standing, sitting, kneeling, and repetitive hand movements.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and comfortable working in an environment with exposure to dust and pollen.
