Position Summary

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists as the technical expert on all SOC matters, including monitoring and responding to all facilities and properties under your control.
  • Assists with collecting client intelligence, operations, and the communication of time-sensitive security tactics for strategic executive management.
  • Assists SOC leadership with compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, industry standards, corporate policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Promotes an environment of professionalism, compliance, and continuous improvement to meet the Corporation's operational goals and objectives.
  • Maintains highly qualified and motivated SOC staff that support the overall business mission, goals, and objectives.
  • Additional responsibilities include providing feedback, accepting critiques and recommendations for documenting incident reports, and maintaining the highest standards for executing high-liability communication plans.
  • Assists with preparing compliance reports to support the SOC's audit process and performance metrics for the overall security posture from an operation to business leader perspective.
  • Assists with responses to communicate company asset loss, facility response, damage, theft, etc, and mitigates reactions as needed. This is accomplished through specific communication, organized partnerships, operational planning, management security, physical security, and proven operational security, which is driven by the Regional Security Director level of operations.
  • This role will report directly to the SOC Manager (SOC-M).

Security Operations Center:

  • Assists geographic area from the Security Operations Center each shift; identify trends, concerns, or recommendations for real-time threat and field level security professionals
  • Assists with document review of site inspections, safety inspections, quality inspections, and other reports that may be of value to identify security threats or risks to our overall objective(s)
  • Assists all SOC personnel and employees as needed to support a large region and the ability to leverage resources, relationships, and systems to proactively mitigate potential threats and risks to a rapidly growing company
  • Assists with formulating reports and conducts training as directed
  • Assists other security staff across the state to ensure they are aware of outcomes we can facilitate through maintenance, physical security, training, and training exercises
  • Assists in providing direction, assistance, and leadership to achieve desired results
  • Maintains an open line of communication and partnership with Corporate/Operations Management throughout the region and nation
  • Maintains logs and other written documents that can be audited to evaluate the performance of SOC, security team members, contracts, and established SOPs
  • Communicate and train employees on the security workforce and emergency plans
  • Coordinates time-sensitive needs as directed by the Regional Security Director of Security
  • Monitors and reports on risk to the Security Leadership Team and our employees

Qualifications:

  • one or more years of SOC-like work experience
  • one or more years inside a Security Operations environment
  • Experience in call centers, agile project management, and leadership
  • Ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners, and employees
  • Experience with managing a diverse group of technologically oriented members
  • Must be results-oriented, communication, conflict management, people management, reporting, critical thinking, problem-solving, and planning and organization skills
  • Proven ability to execute processes with all operations, maintenance, and functions of the Security Policy within the environment
  • Candidate will possess the ability to be a successful self-starter
  • Possess excellent communication, negotiation, and managerial skills
  • Experience with managing diverse groups of technologically oriented people
  • Strategic thinking, focused on providing business value to end-users
  • Experience with conflict resolution and de-escalation
  • Experience with complex problem-solving and being detail-oriented
  • Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Have strong leadership skills
