POSITION SUMMARY:

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Vendor Management

  • Oversee a portfolio of national, regional, and local vendors, ensuring high-quality service delivery and alignment with company standards.
  • Manage the full vendor lifecycle, including selection, negotiation, onboarding, performance evaluation, and termination if necessary.
  • Develop and maintain robust vendor contracts that clearly define service-level agreements (SLAs), performance metrics, and compliance expectations.

Emergency Maintenance Response

  • Serve as the primary point of escalation for emergency maintenance issues across manufacturing and retail sites.
  • Coordinate vendor deployment and ensure timely resolution of emergency maintenance requests.
  • Analyze response times and outcomes to continuously improve vendor performance.

Multi-Site Oversight

  • Address unique maintenance needs across manufacturing and retail locations, tailoring vendor strategies to meet site-specific requirements.
  • Conduct regular site visits (30% travel) to build relationships with on-site teams, ensure compliance, and identify opportunities for improvement.

Operational Excellence:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Leverage data to assess vendor performance, track KPIs (e.g., response times, downtime), and report findings to senior management.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and all applicable safety and regulatory standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in vendor management, preferably in multi-site manufacturing and/or retail environments.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop and manage contracts effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to build and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze performance data, develop actionable insights, and implement improvements.
  • Familiarity with maintenance management systems (e.g., CMMS) is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, operations, or a related field preferred but not required.
