Summary

Reports to: Cost Accounting Manager

Position Overview:

Major Areas of Responsibility include:

  • Participate in month-end accounting close, preparing journal entries for inventory and cost of goods sold.
  • Prepare general ledger reconciliations for all inventory accounts.
  • Contribute to the preparation of quarterly standard cost modeling and monthly KPI's related to Inventory and Gross Margin.
  • Understand production-related variances within the financials and communicate and assist management in identifying and resolving issues.
  • Analyze and review data from inventory systems to support accurate cost and inventory reporting.
  • Provide support for year-end audit and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities):

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • MBA/MSA and/or Professional certification (CPA/CMA) is a plus, but not required for this role
  • 3-5 years of experience in Accounting, preferably cost accounting experience in similar processing/manufacturing industry. Cannabis experience is a plus.
  • Must have excellent analytical, communication and organizational skills with a natural attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and generate results in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.
  • High degree of professionalism and integrity with the ability to effectively collaborate as an individual contributor in a team environment.
  • Solid Excel skills and experience using Intacct or other Sage products is a strong plus.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn but confident enough to propose new ideas.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.

Travel %:

FLSA status: Non-Exempt

Pay: $70K - $95K + Bonus & Benefits
