Summary

Reports to: Cost Accounting Manager

Position Overview:

Major Areas of Responsibility include:

Participate in month-end accounting close, preparing journal entries for inventory and cost of goods sold.
Prepare general ledger reconciliations for all inventory accounts.
Contribute to the preparation of quarterly standard cost modeling and monthly KPI's related to Inventory and Gross Margin.
Understand production-related variances within the financials and communicate and assist management in identifying and resolving issues.
Analyze and review data from inventory systems to support accurate cost and inventory reporting.
Provide support for year-end audit and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities):

Bachelor's degree in Accounting
MBA/MSA and/or Professional certification (CPA/CMA) is a plus, but not required for this role
3-5 years of experience in Accounting, preferably cost accounting experience in similar processing/manufacturing industry. Cannabis experience is a plus.
Must have excellent analytical, communication and organizational skills with a natural attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and generate results in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.
High degree of professionalism and integrity with the ability to effectively collaborate as an individual contributor in a team environment.
Solid Excel skills and experience using Intacct or other Sage products is a strong plus.
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn but confident enough to propose new ideas.

Pay: $70K - $95K + Bonus & Benefits
