Summary
CORE JOB DUTIES
- Supervises Pack teams >10 personnel
- Assigns daily tasks
- Trains new hires
- Keeps team on track with time expectations
- Ensures the expected quality level is met
- Supports a culture of continuous improvement; conducts Gemba walks
- Responsible for keeping all packaging areas clean by following 6S
- Supports a GMP work environment
- Responsible for execution of batch record documentation and delivering against daily schedule
- Utilizes company's Regulatory Seed-to-Sale System and makes conversions as needed
- Prints reports and disperses to team
- Works cross-functionally with Processing, Material Handling, and Order Fulfillment departments to ensure incoming material to be packed, inventory control, and the logistics delivery schedule are maintained.
- Communicates inventory discrepancies to Packaging Manger and Sales Team
- Responsible for operation of automated equipment
- Confirms set-up and run log are filled out properly
- Engages with maintenance team if there is equipment downtime
- Approves timecards, PTO, sick days, and handles disciplinary actions/rewards for direct reports
- Leads 1:1 scheduled monthly meetings with direct reports
- Conducts annual performance reviews
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- Two years of experience in a position with supervisory/managerial responsibilities with demonstrated experience managing agents and operations
- Demonstrated experience within a CPG, Manufacturing, or Production setting preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict policies and procedures
- Ability to measure, package and label in a precise manner
- Effective time-management skills and ability to multi-task
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment
- Proficiency in windows-based software and point of sale applications a plus
- Requires work around plant material, which could include exposure to plant pollen and/or dust.
- Requires ability to sit, stand, and/or do repetitive actions with your hands for long periods of time.
- Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs to torso level.
