How you'll make a difference

:

  • Emergency Response & Coordination: In the event of an emergency, secure the building and its occupants, acting as a liaison with local law enforcement, when necessary
  • Security Patrol & Surveillance: Conduct regular patrols of the facility, engaging with visitors and employees to ensure safety and order, while monitoring surveillance systems to detect and address suspicious activity
  • Access Control and Visitor Management: Verify and authenticate identification for all individuals seeking entry. Issue and collect badges for non-employee visitors and maintain accurate records of arrival and departure times, including for vendors and contractors
  • Incident Reporting & Documentation: Document and report any incidents, accidents, or unusual occurrences to the National Director, Security, ensuring accurate and compliant records are maintained
  • Inventory and Supply Monitoring: Oversee the proper handling, tracking, and security of inventory and supplies to maintain operational integrity and compliance.
  • Product Handling & Compliance: Safely load and unload products at dispensaries, collaborating with dispensary management to ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and legal standards
  • Escort Services, Delivery Driving and Logistics and Transport Support: Provide escort services for visitors that are authorized to be on-site. Collaborate with logistics and transport to execute and optimize weekly delivery schedules, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, on time, and in compliance with regulations
  • Vehicle and Fleet Oversight: Conduct daily pre-trip inspections of delivery vehicles, ensuring all safety equipment and documentation are in order. Coordinate fleet vehicle maintenance and repairs with the National Director, Security.

Skills to be Successful

:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in security, transportation or prior law enforcement or military experience required
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Highly responsible and reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
  • Must possess a valid Pennsylvania State Driver's License, CDL preferred
  • Clean driving record; must pass a driver's records' check
  • Must pass all federal and state background checks

As a security officer, candidates must be proficient in the following areas:

  • Surveillance and Monitoring (e.g., CCTV operation)
  • Access Control and Visitor Management
  • Alarm Systems and Radio communication
  • GPS and Navigation software
  • Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Word, Excel, etc)
  • Document scanning and management
  • Communication tools
  • Basic troubleshooting skills

Schedule

  • Estimated 10:00am to 6:00pm when working on-site - Hours will vary. Schedule will be based, in part, on the manifested routing schedule and target delivery times from the business - as well as providing - on site, scheduled security coverage. Importantly, the schedule is subject to change to meet the needs of the business. Weekend availability required.***
