Summary
The Lab Technician is responsible for ensuring high quality results and carries out day-to-day tasks including preparing and testing samples from processing, cultivation, and r\u0026d departments. The Lab Technician must monitor and maintain the Laboratory space in accordance with the state of California and company standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

•Use required PPE per OSHA regulations
•Perform other duties as assigned
•Executing validation of analytical systems in accordance with company SOPs
•Calibrating HPLC system when needed by monitoring the results of control samples
•Preparing and testing daily samples from processing and cultivation
•Preparing and testing samples from R\u0026D projects when submitted
•Updating appropriate Excel sheets with potency results
•Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment such as analytical systems, balances, centrifuges, pipettes, and other laboratory equipment.
•Maintaining inventory of supplies, material, and equipment and submitting re-order requests as needed
•Storing supplies and equipment in appropriate manner and keeping workspaces, storerooms, and laboratory space to a high standard of cleanliness and organization
•Performing clerical work related to laboratory activities, such as word processing, record keeping, and filing.
•Assist in the training of other technicians
•Work with state licensed 3rd party testing labs to ensure QC
•Follow good health and safety practices and precautions applicable to a chemistry laboratory
•Maintain analytical and other laboratory waste in compliance with company standards

Capacity to work independently and/or with vendors, perform troubleshooting and solve complex problems.
Ability to calculate figures such as proportions and work with mathematical concepts such as probably.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percents.
Capable with computer systems, software, and hardware common to laboratories
Able to critically analyze, draw conclusions about, and summarize test results in a timely manner.
Focus on physical task for long period of time without losing attention to detail
Manual dexterity sufficient to reach \u0026 handle items, work with fingers, and operate pipette smoothly and consistently
High stress tolerance, adaptable, flexible ability to work in an ever-changing environment
**Education and/or Experience**
Bachelor’s degree preferred / 1-2 years experience in laboratory or manufacturing setting
Experience with Agilent equipment using ChemStation
**Required:**
•Must be 21+ years of age
•Bilingual preferred
•Able to work independently and in a team environment
•Ability to maintain a positive attitude
•Authorized to work in the United States
•This position requires a 40-hour minimum work week
•Must be able to write and communicate effectively with the entire team.
