Requirements

  • Assess patient certifications to identify restrictions and recommend appropriate treatment options.
  • Communicate patient-specific restrictions to dispensary staff to ensure proper product selection and compliance.
  • Provide accurate and timely medication information both in person and over the phone.
  • Educate new and returning patients about the properties and benefits of cannabis.
  • Consult with patients and review their certifications to recommend the most appropriate treatment plan.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies and federal and state regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cannabis laws, research, and industry best practices.
  • HCPs will assist with daily dispensary operations as needed, including inventory control, accepting deliveries, menu auditing, processing returns, fulfilling online and in-store orders, handling point-of-sale transactions, monitoring cameras, and supporting patient flow (kiosk assistance, monitoring, etc.).
  • Focus on delivering a high-quality, patient-centered experience
  • Complete and maintain the required Pennsylvania Department of Health Cannabis Health Professional certification
  • Support employee training initiatives when applicable. Secure coverage for scheduled time off and communication of schedule changes in advance
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Minimum of 2+ years of relevant pharmacy or patient-care experience
  • Strong patient-focused approach with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of cannabinoids and their effects on the human body
  • Experience with point-of-sale systems and retail operations preferred
  • Working knowledge of inventory management and reporting
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and able to work independently or collaboratively
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to perform in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • High level of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information
  • Must pass all required background checks and state badging requirements

Working Conditions / Physical Demands

  • Exposure to cannabis and potential allergens in the workplace
  • Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds independently
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Capable of performing physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, stooping, and working in confined spaces
