Accounting and Finance - Remote - Full Time

1. General Ledger & High-Velocity Close
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Perform detailed variance analysis and provide financial insights to management
2. Lease Accounting
- Manage lease accounting in compliance with ASC 842
- Maintain lease schedules, including right-of-use (ROU) assets and lease liabilities
- Prepare monthly lease amortization entries and reconciliations
- Review new contracts to determine lease classification and accounting treatment
- Coordinate with operations and legal teams to ensure accurate lease data
3. Fixed Assets Strategy
- Maintain fixed asset subledger and capitalization policies
- Record asset additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation
- Reconcile fixed asset ledger to the general ledger monthly
- Ensure proper classification between capital and expense items
- Quarterback the capital budgeting and capital approval request processes
4. Audit, Compliance & Optimization
- Support external audit requests and prepare audit documentation
- Identify and implement process improvements within the accounting function
5. Cross-Functional Accounting Support
- Provide support across all accounting functions as business needs evolve, including ad hoc reporting, reconciliations, process improvements, and special projects
- Act as a collaborative team player willing to step into additional accounting responsibilities to support departmental goals and operational scalability
What you've accomplished:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (CPA or candidate preferred).
- Experience: 4-6 years of progressive experience in technical accounting roles and a mix of public and private accounting.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel (modeling/macros) and proficiency in mid-to-large tier ERP systems.
- Mindset: Proven ability to manage heavy workloads and meet strict deadlines during compressed cycles without sacrificing quality.

- Accuracy: Zero material adjustments required during month-end or annual audits.
- Reliability: 100% on-time completion of all reconciliations and audit deliverables.

The salary for this role is $85,000-105,000 annually depending on experience. Competitive PTO, health, dental, vision, life, and 401k insurance benefits offered. Our ideal candidate will be located in the Minnesota market.
