Responsibilities
- Conduct the spray schedule for both pest and disease prevention, ensuring correct chemical mixture rates.
- Identification and remediation of any possible pest or disease entries into the grow areas
- Application of beneficial organisms
- Proper recording of any pesticide application into the pesticide log as required by the Cannabis Control Commission.
- Conduct weekly bug scouts
- Conduct weekly reading of yellow sticky cards
- Maintenance of IPM equipment (sprayers, foggers, etc.)
- Respond to and clean chemical spills in the cultivation grow areas
- Uphold biosecurity procedures
- Responsible for completing any work assigned during a scheduled shift, as well as information sharing:
- Maintain open communication with the Integrated Pest Manager and other co-workers
- Maintain a clean, sanitary work environment while prioritizing worker safety
- Knowledge and understanding of safe pesticide use and CCC-approved pesticides
- Following all Commonwealth Alternative Care policies

Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to work independently with guidance from the Integrated Pest Manager.
- Intermediate computer proficiency, including word processing and data entry
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to following established safety protocols and procedures.
- Adherence to quality assurance and quality control standards, including sterilization and sanitation protocols
- Every job applicant must pass a comprehensive background check, including the mandates of the local cannabis control commission. A job offer issued before the completion of a background check shall be contingent upon a positive result. A negative background check result may lead to the withdrawal of the job offer.
- Must be willing and able to occasionally work a flexible schedule as the business needs demand, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and repeatedly carry 15-20 pounds across the warehouse or greenhouse.
- Frequent and repetitive use of hands for tasks including pruning, transplanting, and equipment handling.
- The employee must be able to sit or stand for long durations and perform essential physical functions, including kneeling, stooping, bending, and twisting within confined or restricted spaces.
- The employee must be able to work in hot, humid environments and tolerate exposure to workplace elements such as dust, allergens, and water.
