About the Role: Processing Technician II

How you'll make a difference:

  • Advanced Processing Operations:
    • Perform complex processing tasks, including but not limited to drying, curing, trimming, and material refinement with accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Conduct inspections on cannabis materials to assess quality, consistency, and compliance with company standards.
    • Identify and troubleshoot operational ineffeciencies, offering process improvement recommendations.
    • Operate and calibrate specialized equipment used in processing with minimal supervision.
  • Data Accuracy, Compliance, and Quality Control:
    • Maintain accurate documentation and data tracking for product weight, batch tracking, and processing activities using company-approved software.
    • Ensure compliance with all company policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
    • Assist with internal audits and compliance checks to uphold facility-wide adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Mentorship and Team Support
    • Serve as a resource for Processing Technicians, assisting with on-the-job training and best practices.
    • Support workflow coordination to ensure production goals are met.
    • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to maintain efficiency and consistency
  • Facility and Equipment Maintenance
    • Oversee sanitation procedures for work areas, tools, and processing equipment to maintain compliance and operational effectiveness.
    • Conduct routine checks and basic maintenance of processing machinery, reporting any issues to management.
    • Ensure the safe disposal of waste materials in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Performance and Continuous Improvement
    • Contribute to the development and refinement of SOPs to enhance processing efficiency
    • Assist in identifying cost-saving measures and operational improvements
    • Participate in team meetings and provide feedback on workflow optimization
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Meet or ideally exceed daily goals, processing objectives, and KPIs as established by management.
    • Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned by management to meet the needs of the business.

Skills to be Successful:

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent - required
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience - stronglypreferred
  • Minimum of 1 year prior leadership experience (e.g. lead role, team trainer, supervisor) - strongly preferred
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary focus and attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

Computers and Technology

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience using seed-to-sale tracking software - strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with data entry and compliance reporting systems
